COLUMBUS, Ohio ? Ohio State football player Haskell Garrett is in stable condition after being shot early Sunday near campus. According to a Columbus Police news release, officers responded at 12:28 a.m. to reports of a shooting in the 400 Block of Chittenden Avenue. Officers found blood in the street and a shell casing nearby They followed the blood trail to an apartment on East 11th Avenue and found Garrett there with a “through and through” gunshot wound through both cheeks. Blood in the street led to the apartment, and a shell casing was found near the blood. Garrett, 22, was taken to Ohio State University Medical Center in stable condition.
