Jim Woods The Columbus Dispatch Sunday Jul 26, 2020 at 9:09 PM COLUMBUS, Ohio — The stabbing of a woman on the edge of the Ohio State University campus prompted a Buckeye Alert to be issued Sunday evening. The woman, who is not associated with Ohio State, suffered only minor injuries and did not seek hospital treatment, said Dan Hedman, a spokesman for OSU. But the male stabbing suspect did run onto campus, which prompted the alert. The incident happened at 6:20 p.m. in the area of 16th Avenue and North High Street, across from the Target store. The suspect is described as a white male with a scruffy beard. He was wearing a dark tanktop and dark pants. Ohio State University police are handling the investigation. jwoods@dispatch.com @Woodsnight
