Watch: Buckeyes focus on speed in voluntary workouts

The Ohio State football team has been back at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center for nearly two months now — with a brief one-week hiatus — but on Friday, the Buckeyes entered Phase 2 of the team’s return-to-play process following the COVID-19 hiatus that stopped all normal workouts. The Scarlet and Gray began a 14-day period where the team will work with a football and go through walkthroughs in an effort to be ready for full practice that is set to begin on Aug. 7. But what exactly was Phase 1? Players were allowed to return to the WHAC in June for voluntary workouts. Those voluntary workouts couldn’t include football activities and had to be done in groups in order to prevent too much contact between members of the team. That much is known. But not much else.
