COLUMBUS, Ohio — Few major recruiting decisions have gone against Ohio State football’s favor in the 2021 class. IMG Academy offensive tackle JC Latham became the exception Friday when he announced his commitment to Alabama. At one time the Buckeyes were seen as the favorites to land the 6-6, 305-pound midwestern native. However, by Tuesday afternoon, all 11 crystal ball predictions from the 247 Sports network had shifted to the Crimson Tide. Ohio State’s top-ranked 2021 class includes a pair of offensive linemen: Richfield tackle Ben Christman and Bellaire (Texas) Episcopal guard Donovan Jackson. Latham is the No. 17 overall prospect in the 247 national composite and the No. 5 offensive tackle.
