Column: Ohio must save the buses that move the state’s economy

We are Ohio’s motorcoach and group travel tour industry. We are family and independently owned businesses, transporting 4.4 million residents and travelers annually across our state. People ride our buses to get to work in nearby cities and neighboring states as well as visit our tourist destinations. We are visible in every community, servicing every region and connecting millions of Americans across the Midwest. Now, in the devastation of the coronavirus, we are on the road to demise and our elected officials are behind the wheel. Before COVID-19, we employed more than 2,200 hardworking individuals and contributed $428 million in economic revenue to the Buckeye State. Like many transportation industries, that all has changed and virtually every bus company across America — including our operations — has parked their buses.
