COLUMBUS, Ohio — The NCAA’s Division I council gave Ohio State football players the green light to return to campus for voluntary workouts next month. Most won’t face any logistical issues to get to their first session at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center or the Schumaker Complex. Ohio State athletic director Gene Smith told BTN’s Rick Pizzo about 60 Buckeyes remained in Columbus for the summer. “They live in apartments, some of them have jobs, but they stayed here and they’re going to summer school online,” Smith said Tuesday. “The others are in the process of trying to come back.” Smith again said Ohio State plans to allow 10 athletes at a time in the facilities.
