COLUMBUS, Ohio — As recently as mid-March, cornerback loomed as a critical position need in Ohio State football’s 2021 recruiting class. At the time the Buckeyes still sought their first commitment at the position. Other than running back, no position seemed more urgent for attention — and potentially troublesome if the staff’s plan did not come together. Less than 10 weeks later, Kerry Combs and company have four commitments and a potential long-term foundation at the critical position. The latest addition comes from Denzel Burke, a four-star Saguaro, Arizona, prospect who committed to the Buckeyes on Sunday.
