Why Tunmise Adeleye, Ohio State football 2021 commit, is educating himself on the NCAA’s NIL rule for student-athletes: Buckeyes Recruiting


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Within minutes of the NCAA’s Board of Governors announced a proposed new rule allowing players to make money off of their image and likeness, the Ohio State football team began to market itself. “Big city. Best fan base. Endless possibilities.” was the caption on a picture of Downton Columbus that OSU Director of Player Personnel Mark Pantoni tweeted out in a subtle promotion of the program. Those “endless possibilities” played a significant role in why Tunmise Adeleye decided to join the Buckeyes’ top-rated 2021 recruiting class over 31 other schools. The proposed rule could come into effect as early as 2021, just as the four-star defensive end was arriving in Columbus as an early enrollee after spending his senior season at IMG Academy. He’ll take care of business on the football field, opening up a chance for him to cash in on himself while still a student-athlete.…
