COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio State football team hasn’t had any problems finding talent in the secondary since bringing defensive coordinator Kerry Coombs back to the staff. Since his return, the Buckeyes have landed five defensive back commits in their top-ranked 2021 recruiting class and have started to make headway in 2022. They kicked off the class with a commit from Louisiana cornerback Jyaire Brown, who is one of 11 defensive backs with offers. Another player among that list of targets is four-star safety Ephesians Prysock of Bishop Alemany in California. Special teams coordinator Matt Barnes — who also serves as the assistant secondary coach — extended the scholarship to him.
