CLOSE Former Ohio State wide receiver Jaelen Gill will transfer to Boston College, he announced Tuesday on Twitter. The Golden Eagles are coached by Jeff Hafley, who was the Buckeyes’ defensive co-coordinator in 2019. Gill was a four-star recruit in 2018 after a standout career at Westerville South but struggled to make an impact in two seasons at Ohio State. He seemed to have a new opportunity this spring with hopes of succeeding K.J. Hill as a slot receiver. Instead, spring practice ended after only three practices because of the COVID-19 pandemic, and Gill announced on April 22 that he would transfer. Gill caught six passes for 51 yards and a touchdown in six games last year. He was left off the travel roster for the game at Michigan.
