COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football target Barrett Carter of North Gwinnett High School in Georgia has committed to Clemson. The four-star recruit is rated as the No. 56 overall player and No. 4 outside linebacker in the class. He chose the Tigers over 55 other schools, including the Buckeyes, Auburn and Georgia. Carter is one of 11 linebackers with offers from Ohio State in the 2021 recruiting class and by choosing Clemson that leaves six who are still undecided. He is also the seventh player that the Buckeyes have offered in the class to commit to the Tigers. That list also includes most recently five-star all-purpose back Will Shipley and four-star cornerback Jordan Hancock.
