COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football continues to make the cut for Jaylin Davies of Mater Dei High School, who has dwindled his list down to four schools. Two months after releasing his top seven, the four-star recruit has cut that list down to the Buckeyes, Arizona State, Oregon and USC. He’s rated as the No. 100 overall player and the No. 10 cornerback in the class. Defensive coordinator Kerry Coombs has had no problem replenishing the defensive back room since his return to Ohio State. Despite multiple extensions of the recruiting dead period by the NCAA, the Buckeyes have built the nation’s top recruiting class with 18 commits. Most of that has come over the past four months built around the defensive backs.
