Should a team trade up to take Ohio State football’s Chase Young in NFL Draft 2020?


COLUMBUS, Ohio — The 2020 NFL Draft will go on without the traditional green room reaction shots, but Ohio State football’s Chase Young would not have waited long to hear his name anyway. Only two questions have applied to the defensive end’s draft status since before the start of the 2019 college season. Would any quarterbacks emerge and demand to be taken No. 1 ahead of Young, or would some other team pay enough to move up and take Young? Young’s former Buckeye teammate, LSU’s Heisman Trophy-winning Joe Burrow, appeared to answered that first question. Washington is poised to take Maryland native Young with the second pick. But would it make sense for other teams to make a play for that spot to take the highest-rated player in the draft class?
