XFL suspends operations, ending season of Cardale Jones and other Ohio State football alums: Report


WASHINGTON, D.C. — The XFL careers of quarterback Cardale Jones and other Ohio State football alums may have ended after only five games. ESPN’s Field Yates reported Friday that XFL employees were told they were laid off and the league was ceasing operations during a conference call with COO Jeffery Pollock. ESPN also reported the league has “no plans to return” in 2021. The league did not immediately comment.
