Ohio State football assistants add to Buckeyes’ donation to Mid-Ohio Foodbank’s COVID-19 Emergency Fund


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football’s assistant coaches are contributing $47,000 to the Mid-Ohio Foodbank’s COVID-19 Emergency Fund. The donation follows a combined $175,000 donation by the families of head coach Ryan Day, men’s basketball coach Chris Holtmann and athletic director Gene Smith. “This is something we all wanted to do, almost immediately, after learning about the emergency fund,” associate head coach and defensive line coach Larry Johnson said in a news release. “Our program and players have made many visits to the Mid-Ohio Foodbank over the years and we all feel a responsibility to assist during this time of crisis.” The athletic program is encouraging donations to the Mid-Ohio Foodbank at www.midohiofoodbank.org/buckeyenation More Buckeyes coverage Is Ohio State basketball’s recruiting under Chris Holtmann irrelevant with all these transfers?
