COLUMBUS, Ohio — If Ohio State football takes an additional defensive back in its 2021 recruiting class, it will have some strong candidates. Top 100 Texas cornerback Latrell McCutchin announced he remains interested in the Buckeyes on Monday by including them in his top 10. The former Alabama commit also included the Crimson Tide, along with Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Oklahoma, Texas, USC and Virginia Tech. McCutchin, ranked No. 10 nationally among cornerbacks, decommitted from Alabama in March. That came after a visit to Oklahoma, which currently has 10 of McCutchin’s 12 crystal ball votes on 247 Sports. Ohio State already has 2021 commitments from three likely cornerbacks — St. Louis DeSmet’s Jakailin Johnson, Nashville Ensworth’s Andre Turrentine and Cincinnati LaSalle’s Devonta Smith.
