Ohio State football and the recruiting battle for 3-star safety A.J. Kirk


COLUMBUS, Ohio — A.J. Kirk is the first player in our series of recruiting battles to have family ties to Ohio State. He is the younger brother of former Buckeye Mike Doss, who was a three-time All-American at safety from 1999-2002. In his career he recorded 331 career tackles, eight interceptions, eight fumble recoveries and six sacks. He was inducted into the Ohio State Athletic Hall of Fame in 2011. WHO: 3-star safety who plays for Dublin Coffman in Columbus, Ohio. SIZE: 6-foot-0, 200 pounds RANKING: The No. 28 safety in the class of 2021, the No. 475 overall player.
