COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football already has a pair of defensive linemen among its 15 commits in the 2021. The Buckeyes have remained active in the search for more pieces on the defensive front, however. One of them — DeSoto, Texas defensive end Shemar Turner — included OSU in the top 11 teams he posted on Sunday. The Buckeyes made the cut along with Alabama, Baylor, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas and Texas A&M. Turner is a four-star prospect ranked No. 190 in the 247 Sports national composite, and 12th among strong side defensive ends. The 6-4, 260-pound pass rusher recorded eight sacks among 54 tackles last season. Ohio State offered Turner in late January. He has climbed about 90 spots in the national composite since last summer.
