Cameron Martinez, who played his high school ball at Muskegan High School in Michigan, has been nominated for the DAC Michigan High School Athlete of the Year. An all-around athlete, Martinez excelled at quarterback, leading the Big Reds to the state title game in both 2018 and 2019. He was long a verbal commitment to Ohio State before pausing to reaffirm his commitment when Jeff Hafley (his primary recruiter) left the program to take the Boston College head coaching position.
