What TreVeyon Henderson’s commitment means for Ohio State football: Buckeye Recruiting


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Beginning in the fall of 2021 — and assuming no other unforeseen attrition — the Ohio State football program will once again have a fully stocked running back room. Hopewell, Va., five-star running back TreVeyon Henderson announced his commitment to the Buckeyes on Friday night. He became the second piece of the OSU’s 2021 running back project, joining four-star, top-100 North Carolina prospect Evan Pryor as backfield pledges in this class. Even as J.K. Dobbins rushed for 2,000 yards last season, even as Master Teague rolled through mop-up duty to third-team All-Big Ten status, the past three years of running back recruiting loomed as a potential pitfall for 2020.
