COLUMBUS, Ohio — Paris Johnson Jr. does not have a guaranteed starting spot on Ohio State football’s offensive line in 2020. That didn’t matter to the coaches, assistant coaches and personnel directors who voted in a recent ESPN survey of 66 college football staffers. Johnson received four votes as the best player in the 2020 recruiting cycle. He tied for the third-highest vote total with a pair of linebackers from 2020 OSU opponent Oregon — Noah Sewell and Justin Flowe. Two players received eight votes apiece: LSU tight end Arik Gilbert and Clemson defensive tackle Bryan Bresee. Ohio State freshman receivers Julian Fleming and Jaxon Smith-Njigba received one vote apiece. Johnson, considered the Buckeyes’ left tackle of the future, ranked No. 9 in the 247 Sports national composite for the 2020 class. He opened Ohio State’s spring practice sharing first-string reps at right tackle with redshirt sophomore Nicholas Petit-Frere. [youtube…
