How Ohio State football coach Ryan Day explains the Buckeyes’ early 2021 recruiting success


COLUMBUS, Ohio — A surge of four commitments in three days last week seemed like an example of Ohio State football being on the cutting edge of its remote recruiting techniques. Instead, Buckeyes coach Ryan Day said it was more attributable to the work the entire staff did months in advance. While he felt the staff maximized its time well in a short recruiting window after the end of the 2019 season, the ground work stretched back much further.
