Ohio State basketball’s D.J. Carton enters the transfer portal


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State basketball’s D.J. Carton announced that he has decided to enter the transfer portal. The freshman point guard played in 20 games this season for the Buckeyes before removing himself from the program to focus on his mental health. He would so return to campus to finish out the spring semester, but never returned to basketball activities for a team that finished the year with a 21-10 record and 11-9 in the Big Ten. “We 100% support D.J. in this decision and we genuinely wish him all the best moving forward,” head coach Chris Holtmann said in a statement.” We appreciate all he contributed to our program.
