COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football offensive line coach Greg Studrawa has compiled an impressive run of top-ranked commitments in the past few years. Wyatt Davis, Josh Myers, Harry Miller, Paris Johnson Jr., Nicholas Petit-Frere — most of the contenders for the Buckeyes starting offensive line spots in 2020 came into the program as top-50ish prospects. Yet the Buckeyes have also found value farther down those rankings. Thayer Munford, who will presumably be a third-year starter whenever OSU plays football this fall, was ranked No. 285 in the 247 Sports national composite. Branden Bowen, did not make the top 500 but became a starter at multiple spots. Important reserve Joshua Alabi was in a similar range as a defensive end before making his position change in college.
