NEW ORLEANS — The next step in Malcolm Jenkins’ NFL career may take him back to where it all began. Jenkins is close to a free agent agreement with the New Orleans Saints, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. The three-time Pro Bowler spent the first five years of his career in New Orleans after the Saints made him the No. 14 overall pick of the 2009 draft. Jenkins then signed as a free agent with the Eagles and started every game of his six-year tenure there. Jenkins helped the Saints win Super Bowl XLIV and helped lead the Eagles to victory in Super Bowl LI. He became a free agent after the Philadelphia Eagles declined to pick up his 2020 option on Tuesday.
