LAS VEGAS — Eli Apple’s NFL career will head west, as the former Ohio State football cornerback has agreed to terms with the Las Vegas Raiders on a free agent deal. The Oakland Tribune’s Jerry McDonald first reported the development. Terms of the deal were not immediately announced. The New York Giants drafted Apple with the No. 10 pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. He played his first two-and-a-half seasons with the Giants before being traded to the New Orleans Saints in October 2018 for a pair of draft picks. In his lone season with the Saints, Apple recorded 58 tackles with four passes defended and one fumble forced. The Saints had declined to pick up his fifth-year option last May.
