COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State director of football sports performance Mickey Marotti and his strength staff announced the Most Improved Players from winter workouts. Three scholarship players were among those recognized: • OL Ryan Jacoby. The redshirt freshman worked as the right guard with the second-team offense in the opening practice of the spring. The 6-5, 310-pound Mentor native is in his second spring with the program. • DE Javontae Jean-Baptiste. The defensive end played in all 14 games last season, recording 14 tackles and 1.5 sacks. Marotti specifically mentioned Jean-Baptiste in January for the strides he made to reach 6-5, 250 pounds. OSU said the third-year sophomore has added 30 pounds since high school. • WR Kamryn Babb.
