COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football quarterback Justin Fields already enters 2020 as a favorite for the Heisman Trophy and numerous other college football honors. He will also contend for recognition as the nation’s top amateur athlete. Fields is one of 33 finalists for the James E. Sullivan Award, which the Amateur Athletic Union has handed out since 1930. Fields could become the third Ohio State athlete to win the award in the past six years, joining running back Ezekiel Elliott (2015) and wrestler Kyle Snyder (2018).
