Ohio State basketball’s Kaleb Wesson earns Second-Team All-Big Ten honors


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State basketball forward Kaleb Wesson has earned second-team All-Big Ten honors for the 2019-20 season, the league announced Monday. The junior averaged a team-high 14 points and 9.3 rebounds for the Buckeyes, who have put together a 21-10 record (11-9 in the Big Ten) and will open up conference tournament play on Thursday against Purdue as the No. 7 seed. This is the first time in his career that he has made an All-Big Ten team; he earned honorable mention last season. Iowa’s Luka Garza took home Big Ten Player of the Year honors after averaging 23.9 points on 54.2 percent shooting, 9.8 rebounds and 1.8 blocks. He and the No. 5 seed Hawkeyes will await the winner between Northwestern and Minnesota in the Big Ten Tournament.
