Izzy Owen went 4 for 4 with three RBIs and the Oregon State Beavers beat Ohio State 7-3 in a non conference softball game Sunday in Tempe, Arizona. The Beavers (17-9) fell behind 1-0 in the bottom of the fourth inning, but the Buckeyes’ lead didn’t last long. In the top of the fifth, pinch hitter Fallon Molnar doubled to left to score two runs and then Missy Nunes reached on an error that allowed Owen to score and put OSU up 3-1. Oregon State added two more runs in the top of the sixth, on Owen’s RBI single and Xiao Gin’s bases-loaded walk. Ohio State’s Ashley Prange homered to right-center field in the bottom of the sixth, but then Owen’s two-run double in the top of the seventh gave the Beavers a 7-2 lead.
