COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State basketball isn’t an offensive juggernaut able to regularly outscore their opponents. At least that wasn’t the case in a 68-52 victory over Purdue that allowed it to get to 7-7 in Big Ten play and a fifth win in six games. Much the same was a 61-58 road win over Michigan a couple of weeks ago. In both games, the Buckeyes had moments where offense was non-existent, putting the pressure on the defense to string together enough stops to keep them afloat or prevent a game-altering run. Against the Wolverines, the result was both teams shooting under 40 percent from the field while Kaleb Wesson and Duane Washington Jr. made plays down the stretch.
