Ohio State football players Amir Riep and Jahsen Wint charged with rape, kidnapping


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football players Amir Riep and Jahsen Wint were charged with rape and kidnapping Tuesday based on a complaint regarding an incident last week. Arrest warrants for both defensive backs were issued in Franklin County Municipal Court. Riep and Wint were both charged with rape by threat of force and kidnapping for the purposes of engaging in sexual activity. Both are first-degree felonies. Eleven Warriors first reported the development. An Ohio State University spokesperson provided the following statement to Cleveland.com: “We are aware that two of our students have been arrested and criminally charged. They have been suspended from all activities involving the football program. We will share more information when available.” Riep is a junior from Cincinnati.
