COLUMBUS, Ohio — The point guard is the most critical position in the game of basketball. As the floor general, you are expected to be an extension of the head coach on the floor, knowing where everyone should be on the floor. It’s your job to initiate offense while also finding ways to create plays for others when needed. It’s something that Ohio State basketball head coach Chris Holtmann holds dear, and it’s why he’s developed a reputation for being harder on his point guards in comparison to other positions.
