COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football continues to build the defensive foundation for its 2021 recruiting class from within its home state. Streetsboro defensive tackle Mike Hall joined the movement on Saturday when he became the Buckeyes’ 10th known commitment. He is the first at his position in the group, joining Pickerington North defensive end Jack Sawyer — the nation’s No. 2 recruit in the 247 Sports composite — Ironton linebacker Reid Carrico and Cincinnati La Salle safety Jaylen Johnson. Of the eight defensive tackles on Ohio State’s 2020 roster, half will be seniors or juniors. With Jashon Cornell, DaVon Hamilton and Robert Landers all cycling out of the program after last season, the Buckeyes must replenish that position with multiple prospects in 2021.
