Ohio State basketball’s ability to feed the post should help cut down on troublesome turnovers


COLUMBUS, Ohio — One of the more glaring issues in Ohio State basketball’s first matchup with Indiana earlier this season was the number of turnovers it committed. In a 66-54 loss, the Buckeyes turned the ball over 16 times, 11 forced by the Hoosiers. That problem was corrected in the second meeting and played a vital role in why they’re now 1-0 in February after Saturday’s 68-59 win at home. “A little better paint decisions overall,” head coach Chris Holtmann said. “We struggled early with some post feed turnovers. That’s been a bugaboo for us throughout the year. Better overall paint decisions, which created a high assist number.” Better decision-making led to the Buckeyes recording 19 assists on 26 baskets.
