Former Ohio State football player Nick Bosa named Associated Press NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Former Ohio State defensive end Nick Bosa continues to collect hardware ahead of Super Bowl LIV in Miami. He has just become the third Buckeye in the last four years to be named Associated Press NFL Rookie of the Year, joining brother Joey Bosa in 2016 and Marshon Lattimore in 2017. Bosa adds the award to already winning the NFL’s Pepsi Rookie of the Year, Pro Football Writers of America Rookie of the Year, along with a selection to the Pro Bowl. In his first season with the San Fransico 49ers, the No. 2 pick in the 2019 NFL Draft recorded 47 tackles, a rookie franchise-record 16 tackles for loss, nine sacks once forced fumble and one interception.
