ANN ARBOR — Michigan captain Will Lockwood had a feeling there would be more energy inside Yost Ice Arena for Friday’s game against No. 11 Ohio State. Before the game, the senior forward received a direct message on social media from a member of Michigan’s student section, “The Children of Yost.” The group felt slighted after it was not included in an NCAA article this week that listed the top nine student sections in college hockey. The Children of Yost made sure they were heard Friday, especially after Lockwood’s goal with 3 minutes, 43 seconds remaining was the difference in a 3-2 victory. “They bring 110 percent every night,” Lockwood said of the student section. “People were talking in the locker room that is the best they have ever seen Yost.
