COLUMBUS, Ohio — Finding a high-level running back is priority No. 1 in Ohio State football’s 2021 recruiting class. The Buckeyes struck out on all its top options in 2020 before flipping Miyan Williams from Iowa State minutes after a 28-17 win over Penn State. Landing Williams gave them an in-state recruit to add to the room to replace J.K. Dobbins. But he isn’t expected to be a guy who will come in from day one and compete to be the starter. The long-term solution the starting running back question probably isn’t on the roster, though Master Teague will have the role in 2020.
