Ohio State basketball’s D.J. Carton to miss game against Indiana


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State basketball will be without D.J. Carton on Saturday when it faces Indiana as he takes some time away from the program to deal with personal matters. “D.J. remains a valued member of our program and we will continue to love and support him,” head coach Chris Holtmann said in a statement. “Please respect the family’s privacy in this matter.” The freshman point guard is averaging 10.4 points and 3.0 assists per game for the Buckeyes this season and has spent time as both a starter and a reserve. He was Ohio State’s leading scorer in its 71-59 road win over Northwestern with 17 points on six-of-eight shooting. Without Carton expect to see C.J.
