COLUMBUS, Ohio — Corey Dennis has replaced Mike Yurcich on Ryan Day’s staff as Ohio State football’s quarterback coach. That promotion also means that someone would have to replace Dennis as the quality control/grad assistant coach in the quarterback’s room. That position has now been filled by Billy Fessler. Fessler is a former walk-on quarterback at Penn State and most recently served as a grad assistant at Mississippi State. He is one of many graduate assistant/quality control coaches on the staff that are expected to be hired. He saw action in one game during his college career in which he completed an eight-yard pass in Penn State’s 56-0 win over Georgia State in 2017. Others who have left this offseason include Sean Duggan and Matt Thurin who joined Jeff Hafley’s staff at Boston College. Trey Holtz joined his father Skip Holtz at Louisiana Tech, while Chandler Whitmer left for Clemson.…
