COLUMBUS, Ohio — 247Sports updated player rankings saw two players in Ohio State football’s 2020 recruiting class receive five-star rankings. The Buckeyes now have five players who have five-star status in quarterback C.J. Stroud, offensive tackle Paris Johnson Jr. and wide receivers Julian Fleming and Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Stroud is the only one of the group who is still rated as a four-star in the composite rankings despite 247Sports giving him five-star status. Overall the updated rankings give the Buckeyes seven top-100 recruits in its 24-man class. Cameron Martinez is the only unsigned player in the class but reaffirmed his commitment on Tuesday following home-visits from Ryan Day and defensive coordinator Kerry Coombs.
