Final decision is in: Cameron Martinez sticks with Ohio State, plans to sign next week


MUSKEGON, MI – Cameron Martinez has remained committed to Ohio State the whole time, but he hit pause on the process in mid-December when co-defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley accepted the head-coaching job at Boston College. Martinez, the highly decorated, human-highlight reel from Muskegon High School, needed to take his time and be sure that OSU was still the right fit for him, as Hafley was his primary recruiter. That’s why he opted against signing with the Buckeyes during the early period Dec. 18-20. Well, Martinez has arrived at a final decision: The four-star athlete prospect will remain a Buckeye and he plans to make it official next Wednesday, Feb. 5, on the traditional national signing day.
