The Buckeyes have a commitment from 5-star 2021 defensive end Jack Sawyer. But they are looking for at least one if not two more outstanding defensive ends. Cade Denhoff from Lakeland (Fla.) Christian was one they had offered a scholarship and had been recruiting. The interest was mutual. “I have not visited (Ohio State) yet, but I’m hoping to in January or February,” Denhoff told Bucknuts in late November. Denhoff had multiple Buckeye coaches recruiting him. “Coach (Tony) Alford, coach (Ryan) Day and coach (Larry) Johnson,” Denhoff said in November. “They do a great job recruiting. It is going very well.” However, Denhoff visited Clemson this weekend and this morning announced he has committed to the Tigers on day after attending the Clemson elite junior day.
