COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football announced Friday it is flipping locations for its series with Texas in 2025 and ’26. The Buckeyes will now host the Aug. 30, 2025 game, while Texas will host on Sept. 12, 2026. Spokesperson Jerry Emig said the change was made “because it helps both schools to do so.” Ohio State is also scheduled to play Washington at home on Sept. 13, 2025, while the Sept. 6 weekend remains open. (Two other game dates during Big Ten play are also currently open.) The 2026 game was originally scheduled to be the season opener on Sept. 5. The Buckeyes are scheduled to play Boston College at home on Sept. 19, 2026, with another non-conference date open. That will now presumably be a home game as well.
