Ohio State football celebrates Big Ten Championship at halftime of basketball game


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football didn’t end it’s season the way that it hoped after a 29-23 loss to Clemson in the College Football Playoff, but it still has plenty to be happy about. “That game in Arizona did not sit well with us,” head coach Ryan Day said to the crowd of the Fiesta Bowl loss. “You have my word, we will not forget about that game.” The Buckeyes took the opportunity to celebrate its first season under Day at halftime of the basketball team’s game against Minnesota. They won a third straight Big Ten Championship while finishing with a 13-1 record and 9-0 in the Big Ten. OSU finished at No. 3 in the final Associated Press Top 25 Poll behind Clemson and National Champion LSU. Day was the first Ohio State coach in 40 years to win Big Ten Coach of the Year.
