Ohio State basketball’s Musa Jallow to redshirt the 2019-20 season following right ankle surgery


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State basketball’s Musa Jallow is expected to have surgery on his right ankle and will redshirt the 2019-20 season. “He will be having surgery on Friday,” Head coach Chris Holtmann said. “He’ll be back in time for a good offseason, but it’s a reconstructive ankle surgery.” Prior to the season, the junior forward had arthroscopic surgery on the same ankle in hopes that at some point this season he would see the floor. His absence this season has left the Buckeyes with Andre Wesson and Justin Ahrens as their only small forwards on the roster. Jallow averaged 2.9 points and 2.9 rebounds last season while shooting 42.4 percent from the field and 33.3 percent from beyond the 3-point line in 15 minutes per game.
