Two of Ohio State's Minnesotans lead Buckeyes to upset of No. 1 Gophers in women's hockey

Gabby Rosenthal scored two goals in the second period as No. 5 Ohio State upset the top-ranked Gophers women’s hockey team 4-1 on Friday in the opener of a WCHA series at Ridder Arena. The loss ended Minnesota’s 15-game unbeaten streak (12-0-3) going back to Oct. 25 and a 4-3 loss at Ohio State. The Gophers won the second game Rosenthal. a sophomore forward who played for Blaine in high school, gave the Buckeyes (14-5-4, 9-3-3-1 WCHA) a 2-1 lead at 22 seconds of the middle period then, after teammate Rebecca Freiburger, a senior from Rochester, got a goal at 10:10, Rosenthal scored again at 17:36.
