COLUMBUS, Ohio — During a Wednesday press conference, Ohio State football head coach Ryan Day was asked if there was a possibility that they’d add another running back to the 2020 recruiting class. His answer leaned toward that not being the case due to the Buckeyes already being two over the allotted amount of scholarship players. “The numbers are pretty tight right now,” Day said. So probably not, but we’ll kind of see how things go.” Despite that, the Buckeyes were expected to host Jahmyr Gibbs of Dalton (Ga.) High School on an official visit this week. The four-star running back is rated as the nation’s No. 170 overall player and No. 16 running back.
