Ohio State football alums remain in Super Bowl contention: Buckeye Breakfast


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Super Bowl LIV could feature a matchup of Ohio State football defensive stars of the past. The Mike Vrabel-coached Tennessee Titans stunned the Baltimore Ravens 28-12 on Saturday in an AFC Divisional game. The Titans, who went 9-7 in the regular season, will play the Kansas City Chiefs for the AFC Championship on Sunday at 3:05 p.m. Vrabel, who began his coaching career as OSU’s linebackers coach in 2011, is in his second season as the Titans head coach. The former linebacker won three Super Bowls with the New England Patriots during his 14-year playing career. Vrabel was a consensus All-American in 1996 and is a member of the Ohio State Athletics Hall of Fame. Titans secondary coach Kerry Coombs was an OSU football assistant from 2012-17.
