COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State basketball’s Chris Holtmann has shortened his rotation down to just seven players in the absence of Kyle Young. The only two players coming off of the bench for the Buckeyes are freshmen D.J. Carton and E.J. Liddell. The result was a 61-57 loss where the two combined for two points, one rebound, two assists, four turnovers and four fouls. With Young missing his second straight game along with C.J. Walker feeling a little under the weather — he played 25 minutes off the bench, scoring three points before fouling out — the two freshmen would once again get an extended opportunity to make plays. Carton responded with 14 points but shot just 6 of 15 from the field while Liddell scored only two points for the third-straight game.
